Incorporated May 26, 2021, the community of Cherokee Ridge was originally established in 1992 by the late Sid McDonald. Cherokee Ridge is a safe, friendly, growing town with 180 homes and more than 400 residents. Protected by the Brindlee Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, with an ISO rating of 5/5X, is one of only a handful of volunteer fire departments in Alabama with a license to provide Advanced Life Support emergency medical services.
